Song project. Hard Techno

I finally managed to pull of a Hard Techno tune. I used Ableton Live as my host and it took me about 4-5 days to finish it. I was aiming to do a song without a conquering melody. But a sub melody progressive melody with rough beat.

I used a VST called Elastik Hard Techno Vs. Shranz the VST is a beat instrument it has many cool loops and drum samples in it that fit perfectly for the project. also used several instrument inside ableton live like operator/sampler etc.

The title is “SSS” the reason I called it that because well S is the best rank and SSS is…well 3 times S. I thought it fit perfect for it.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the important part about this song. I’ve been keeping in touch with a dj from australia, he plays some really heavy hard techno and acid techno. He told me that he will play this tune on his next gig and that he really liked it. You can find his website here and myspace here.

Right now I am using a basic theme from Wordpress that I got. Nothing really original I know, but a new look is on the way. I did the whole design. I am not much of a coder, so I let my friend KrKhan do the wonder work of his. He will be coding pretty much everything integrate wordpress and much more. Thanks Khan what would I be without you….on the net that is

I know I have not updated my blog for a “time” now, and after looking at it I thought I would start posting. On this blog I’ll post about everything from music to music production.

I am a music-producer who does EDM music but also makes any kind of genre, tries to make different stlyes and combining different styles together to get orginality. I do not try and be “just another EDM producer”. I am widening my producing skills to more genres then a specific because then I can make more orignial and get a better understanding of music.

The main DAW envorinment I use when producing is Reason 4. Because I like they Interface it offers, the ability to wire cables to different devices, the possabilities are endless +It’s devices are completely free and you can make some powerfull instruments by combining them as powerfull as some VST’s that are out there that are expensive. In reason you also get free sample Library with Orhestral samples/patches that are ready to be used anytime. Lots of drum loops, drum samples etc, that are free.

The second DAW I use is Ableton Live, because of its simple way of launching sound clips (loops etc) instantly and the instruments and the effects it has are simple amazing. I usually Rewire Reason with ableton to get some Power Studio

If I want to take a break from the music-making. I’ll start up Reaktor 5 to start build my own Software synth/effect/sampler/sample destroyer or whatever I want to. There is no need for coding either. The way you build instruments is by connecting different Module components and Macros that Reaktor has You do this by connecting wires to desired components input/output. But if you want to do some complicated stuff you will need to have Basic math or more complicated math depending on how advanced you want to build.

Before I started to even make music. I was a Graphic and Webdesigner, selftaught with Photoshop 7. ~6 years experience with Designing. I havent done much latley though, but I would like to do some artwork so I can show my visitors.
